Everyone has something they believe resolutely in. It may be an idea or notion, a set of morals and values, some dream for life, thoughts about a way of life, or ideals and gut feelings that we base our world-view around. And, perhaps, we all think, even if only a little, that sharing those things with others is important to defining our place in life? Perhaps it is just being human, giving in to the need that we as a species have to communicate, and nothing more? Perhaps it is partly that we seek meaning in all aspects of life, and being human, we long to share with those around us the least thing we discover that we think might have some meaning or be of importance?

Mardi Gras Mask

Another day at Busch Garden...another face painted Noodle! This time Neve decided on the Mardi Gras mask. The girl doing the face painted was aware enough to notice the Noodle's necklace and used paint colors to match the necklace.

Purple Strands

It's strange what you see when you are just standing around. What I found so intriguing about this particular flower was the distinct individuality of each strand of petal.

It's strange how the people who are in your life for the shortest amount of time can make the biggest difference. Some of them will hurt you. While others will help you. With some, you are thankful that the time spent together was so brief, and others can leave you begging for more time. The people that hurt you in such a short amount of time are just another one of life's lesson learned. Although I've been hurt by it, I don't regret it. I guess it shows me what NOT to do next time. I know that everything is supposed to happen for a reason but I don't understand why the people who make such a positive difference, the people you want to stay, end up walking away...not necessarily that they are walking away from you but more so that their life takes them in a different direction...you know that it's going to hurt when they leave, when you have to say goodbye to another friend, but to me it's all about valuing the time you have and never regretting anything that makes you happy. I guess everyone will hurt you eventually. You just have to decide who is worth it...anyone who makes me happy is worth the tears.

This past Saturday Neve, Abby (the kiddo's best friend), and I decided to head out to Water Country to take advantage of the beautiful weather and keep cool. Our first stop at Water Country was Hubba Hubba Highway, a fun floating river. Now the Noodle has about three months of swim lessons under her belt and is naturally at ease in the water. As for Abby, she isn't quite as sure of herself in the water. So when Neve decided that she wasn't going to wait for Abby to swim and catch up to her, the Noodle took off on her own around Hubba Hubba Highway. This caused a little consternation with Abby and some pleading for Neve to wait up. The Noodle's response was nothing but classic...

I'm a mermaid! I'm too strong for this!

I have to ask the question. What is everyone's fascination with myspace? Everyone I seem to meet always ask the question, do you have a myspace? It seems if you don't have your own space in Tom's space, you're in the minority nowadays. Needless to say, I've succumbed to peer pressure and have published my own myspace page. Now the question becomes...should I publish my myspace url? Honestly, I'm a little hesitant at this point. If only to spare myself from the laughs and humiliation from my peers at work :-) But if you're clever enough, I'm sure you'll be able to find my myspace on your own. Happy hunting!

It has been about a week since I posted anything meaningful (at least to me) on my blog. Some of it has been due to a lack of inspiration, and some of it has been due to things just popping up and taking up a lot of my free time. Either way, I intend to remedy the situation beginning tomorrow.
