Hot Pink Bloom
Photo taken by mcdonoughab

Last year around the beginning of summer, Stephanie and I bought a rose bush and planted it in one of the mulch beds in front of my house. It's gone through a summer, fall, winter, and this spring without so much as a glance from me. I was under the impression the bush would bloom only white roses. Thinking back to when I bought the rose bush, I distinctly remember the descriptive tag attached to the rose bush talk about white blooms. So when I got home today and walked to the front of the house, I was so surprised to see among the white blooms a hot pink rose bloom. How did this happen? I haven't a clue, but it's definitely an interesting contrast to the dominating white roses.
